Suites have a strict maximum occupancy of two adults per room.

Yes. Infants are welcome and stay free of charge when travelling with two adults. Portacots are not provided.

Please book for two adults and include a note in the comments section advising that an infant will be staying with you.

Check-in is from 2:00pm.

Check-out is by 10:00am.

Where possible, we do our best to accommodate early check-in or late check-out requests. Guest Services will be able to greet you in person, and we'll brief our housekeeping team to prioritise your suite should early access be available. Early check-in cannot be guaranteed.

If your suite is not ready on arrival, we are happy to securely store your luggage.

Yes. We serve a hyperlocal continental breakfast, celebrating some of our favourite regional producers 7 days a week.

Breakfast includes:

• Vegas & Rose granola
• Seasonal poached and fresh fruit
• Pot-set yoghurt
• Orange Juice
• Inglenook milk and butter
• St Ali coffee, hot chocolate or a selection of Bendigo Tea Associates herbal teas

As part two, we serve a pastry from the award winning Turret Bakehouse. Guests may choose from one of 10 savoury sweet or pastries (including options such as plain croissant, ham & cheese croissant, or spinach & ricotta croissant). Sourdough toast is also available if pastries are not suitable. We will confirm your pastry selection at check-in for the following morning. Gluten free and vegan options available.

If breakfast is included in your room rate, it is provided for two adults.

If children are accompanying you, breakfast is available at an additional $15 per person.

Yes. Breakfast can be added at $30 per person. As a small boutique hotel with just seven suites, breakfast is optional on most days and we do not offer a buffet service.

On arrival, please park on Sturt Street directly out the front of Hotel Vera. Be sure to use the parking meter to activate your 1-hour free parking.

Yes. We offer several off-street parking options:

• Two off-street spaces at the rear of the hotel (outside the six-car stacker), accessed via the carriageway. This area includes a Porsche EV charger.
• Additional secure off-street parking at 714 Sturt Street, with space for up to six vehicles.

Both areas are gated and can be secured overnight for additional peace of mind.

Street parking at the front of the hotel is abundant and free after 5:30pm. Parking is free all day Sunday.

Bookings made via third-party websites (such as booking.com) cannot be modified or cancelled by Hotel Vera. We recommend contacting the customer service team of the relevant online travel agent directly. For booking.com, their number 03 8537 3200.

Unless otherwise stated:

• Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours (two full days) prior to arrival date.
• Cancellations made after this period will incur a charge equal to the first night's accommodation
• Non-refundable bookings cannot be modified or cancelled

We send an automated pre-arrival text message containing useful information about your stay. To ensure the correct guests receive this information, we require the mobile number of each guest staying at the hotel.

If the mobile number provided at the time of booking does not belong to the guest staying, please advise Reception prior to arrival.

No. As part of our sustainability commitment and waste-reduction targets, we do not provide slippers. Based on past experience, slippers are typically used once and discarded.

Bamboo toothbrushes are available on request. These are biodegradable and help minimise landfill waste. We strongly encourage guests to bring their own personal items where possible.

All suites are designed around king-sized beds. We previously trialled alternative bedding options, including king singles, however guest feedback was negative. Due to suite layout, comfort standards, and occupational health & safety considerations, trundle and rollaway beds are not suitable for our property.

Reception at Hotel Vera is attended around guest arrivals. As a small boutique hotel, we do not operate a 24-hour front desk. However, assistance is always available via phone should you require support outside standard arrival times.

Guest Services will greet you on arrival, provide assisted check-in, and offer an orientation to the building and your suite.

If you are planning to arrive after 6:30pm, we kindly ask that you make prior arrangements with Vera's concierge team. This allows us to organise after-hours access and ensure a smooth, seamless arrival experience.

Hotel Vera operates with assisted check-in only. For late arrivals, access instructions and arrangements will be coordinated in advance by our concierge team. Clear communication prior to arrival is essential, as unattended check-in is not available without prior arrangement.

If your travel plans change on the day of arrival, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist.

We understand that pets are part of the family, and we are delighted to welcome them to Hotel Vera. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following pet policy:

• A non-refundable pet fee of $40 per stay applies. This fee contributes to additional cleaning and maintenance.
• We welcome one pet up to 30kg, or two small dogs each under 15kg.

Please note that pets must be supervised at all times and are not permitted on furniture or unattended in suites.

Hotel Vera offers assisted check-in. Guest Services will greet you on arrival and provide access and orientation to the building. If you are arriving after hours i.e. 6.30pm, please make custom arrangements with Vera's concierge team.

Yes. We offer a combination of street parking and secure off-street parking, including EV charging. Details are provided above under Parking.

Yes. We are a pet-friendly hotel. Please see our Pet Policy above for details and fees.
