Tourello
The work of Sydney artist Tonee Messiah is the star of the Tourello, which acts as Hotel Vera’s accessible suite.
With a string of awards under her belt as well as several exhibitions to her name, Messiah’s works are held in galleries and private collections nationally and overseas. In 2022, Australian clothing label Gorman also launched a collaborative collection with the artist, her use of bold colours and irregular forms making her work ideal for the project.
The colours in Messiah’s oil on canvas piece Left Side Living perfectly complement the sunset shade that coats the Tourello, instilling a sense of romance and respite through the entire space.
